Question Upgrading

I have a question about upgrading hosting. I'm currently on the Standard plan and I've already paid for the $48 yearly, which isn't due to expire until April 6th. However, I'm interested in upgrading to the oc5 plan.

I won 3 months of free hosting for participating in the 2004 Surpassies awards so I was wondering if those could be used towards the upgrade rather than the Standard plan that I'm currently signed up for.

And if this is allowed, how would this work, considering A) I'm not done with my current plan yet and B) I have the three months free hosting? Sorry, but I'm just wondering what your whole policy on upgrades is.

My other main concern is that the Standard plan didn't come with any add-on domains, so I had to purchase 2 for $15 each and was told that this was only a one-time payment. If I upgrade my account, will I still be able to keep those? (In other words, would I have 2 add-on domains paid for + 2 add-on domains included in the oc5 package = 4 add-on domains total?)

Thank you so much in advance You guys rock!

It looks like your in a pretty complex situtation, if a mod can't answer this you should try using the support desk, which I would do now anyway since you might get a faster reply.

Nara -

I agree with voltage... email sales[at]surpasshosting.com and put in the top line to forward directly to Kayla. She'll make sure that you are taken care of. Surpass is not at all about screwing things up just because you want to upgrade.

But you gotta let the right people know!

Hmm, intense. Well, I see no reason why your 3 free months wouldn't be factored into the equation for when you upgrade to oc5 if you haven't already used them.

As for just the straight upgrade.. they'll take the price you paid for hosting ($48) and divide that by 12 (4) and then times that by the number of months you have been here (about 8 months?) and then take the difference (48-32=16) and that will be refunded to you ($16). And then you'd pay for oc5 plan.

Probably a similar type thing would be done if included your free 3 months... you would be reduced by whatever 3 months are worth.

As on the addon domains... I don't know.

I can't make any definite answer on this, but if you contact support and especially Kayla, she will take care of you as Bigjohn said.

Thanks, guys.

Kayla? Well, there's a name for tired ticked off eyes and ears. Well, hopefully, they won't just close your ticket and ignore ya' like they did me when I asked for her.

Moonstar, you are not contributing to the conversation and you are just spreading around your frustration without merit. So stop it.

Perhaps you are right, but--if you would go nack and look at my track record on the matter--you might actually consider to yourself: what could surpass have done to lose such a loyal client. and what could we have done to aboid it?

But, in regards to my earlier post, I was wrong. Never inform people of what could possibly be the truth unless they ask for it and sign a waiver.

Nara, I apologize for hi-jacking and venting on your thread.

Good luck, with sortingt hings out--if you do get Kayal, she'll make it all good, I'm sure.

Moonstar, honestly you'll need to refrain from your current behavior if you wish to continue posting here. You seem to be in a heated mood over something I have yet to determine and flaming posts that have nothing to do with your account isn't very good.
