Okay I'm an idiot. I think I've been to too many sites that fill in the www part of your domain name (I've been hanging out with whois and Godaddy).

I asked to transfer the domain begleyconsulting.com
But I think I should have asked for www. begleyconsulting.com

How do I fix this? I've gone to my registar and put in the new Nameserver info, but I could go back to the old stuff if that helps until it gets changed to www.begleyconsulting.com

I'm sorry if this is lame. I'm not a newbie, it's just too late and I'm very tired.

Thanks!

Actually the www. part is dropped by the registrars anyways. Don't worry you should be fine. The whois on your domain looks good and it should be resolving to your new servers here at Surpass soon. Welcome to the gang!

0450 and late for you? You MUST be a newbie!

Yeah, www is a automatically given to you when you start loading your files. Notice there is a "www" directory in your home space. Everything you put in public_html is copied/linked there.

Yes, www is a service ran on webservers. There is no need to actually type it anywhere...

Saltine crackers are salty and we all know that, and salt is still in the name. But, with domain names.. www.domain.com is really just domain.com...
Eh, trying to explain somehow..

Not always... I know of some customers that point www. to theyre web site and they point the domain to anpther server for ssh access..

Also if there is a customer who runs a reverse proxy server for theyre servers, http://www.123.com is not the same as http://123.com
