WTF Account Created AGAIN?
Hi,
I signed up for the Power account on the 29th of the August. So far the service and customer support has been great, and I still have nothing to complain about. BUT I have come accross a strange incident I cannot explain. When I signed up on the 29th I was sent my details in an email stating: "Surpass Hosting supanode.com now active on a Surpass webserver" In the subject header. At the bottom of the email was the following line: [ Your hosting account was created on: 08/29/2005 12:29:04 pm ] NOW COMES THE WEIRD THING. I was just sent ANOTHER email, exactly the same. With the same subject header, and this time at the bottom of the email was the following line: [ Your hosting account was created on: 09/03/2005 06:05:10 pm ] Has something happened? When I originally signed up for my account I chose to be billed monthly. Now I really dont want to be double billed. Another weird thing with the second email was, all the relevant details in regards to usernames, passwords, name servers, the details were blank. The only thing correct was the domain name. Is someone able to help me with this here? Or should I esculate this to a ticket support? |

You cannot be double billed because we do not keep your credit card number. Does the email have the same IP and the same login info? If it's different then that means there are two accounts. If the info is the same, it is some system error. Since it is blank, it is some system error. |

Come to think of it, though I think it happened again a few weeks later and it was one of those strange emails where all the fields were left out (it was like the system didn't put my information into the variables, it was really amusing). |

Not that I know. I think the double emailing is just a weird buggyness in the auto-emailing thing, especially since I've seen a few people note that they got the weird email with all the variables in it, rather than their actual activation email.
