Could you please put your sites and server name in your signature? We have no way of checking on the forums to see if any of your sites are up without this.

Also, remember that these are user-to-user support forums only. You should file a ticket (if you already haven't) to the support desk when you have an issue.

Yes, I know this is a user to user forum. That's why I asked in here. I like to do that before I submit a ticket. I want to make sure that there is a problem with Surpass before I waste Surpasses time. I was posting to see if anyone else on SH100 was having a problem in general. Really doesn't matter what my site was in particular.

For exactly this reason... Seems as though it must have been on my end. Websitepulse.com said that the server was responding normally but yet I could not get there. Weird. But everything seems to be normal today.

Thanks anyway.

That is why on a shared/reseller account it is a good idea to share the site too. For such a issue could be network, server, site or script. And then there are the oddities too.

Sorry if I didn't phrase the question correctly. Let me see if I can word it better.

What I wanted to know was if anyone that is on SH100 was having problems viewing or connecting to their site. That was the information I was after and so that is why I asked that question that way.

The reason that I specifically did not give the name of my site is because then, instead of people telling me about their site(s) on SH100 they would tell me about mine. They would say things like "I can see your site fine" or "I can't get to your site either" and that is not what I wanted to know. What I wanted to know was the status of the server in general, not my site in particular which is why I asked it the way I did.

Once I knew if others were having problems with their sites too or not then I would be better able to know where I should go from there.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

If all you want is to know if Apache is running, just use the main IP address of the server and you will get the cPanel "There is not a website configured...." message.

Hey, that's a good idea. I forgot about that. I should bookmark that for just such an occasion actually. Thanks.

But really what I wanted to know was if other people that share the same server as me were experiencing any problems too. If every one that shares my server was having a problem then I would know that it was not just me and that it would probably be a good idea at that point to submit a ticket about the server, unless someone else already had.

I think, especially with shared servers, if we all look here first we can save the tech having to read 100 emails from all the users on the same server saying the same thing. I don't want to submit a ticket if 50 people on the same server as me already have.

But if all the people on my same server are not having any problems at all then ... hmmm. It would be time for me to do some more digging.

If you had not seen it before, I wrote a program to monitor your server that is incorporated into your window's desktop. It can be found here and install instructions are in the script as comments.

I am checking out SH100 to see what is happening, so Sentinel- you definitely aren't imagining anything. This is absolutely SQL related, it's been working overtime. I may have to move some accounts out. The server has been up 21 days without reboot, and it seems normal right now. But SQL issues have probably been causing Apache to crash at times. I will fix.
