Password protect a file - Page 2

I find it easier to teach someone to do then the whole password protected directory thing. Most people just want to send something to one person once in a semi secure way. In that situation I have found it easier to just encrypt a file and upload it and share the password over the telephone.

For larger amounts of stuff or people .htaccess is better

If you wish to use a .htaccess file, you just add more username/passwords in the passwd file. Add 1 combination of name:password at single rows, like:
