Hey, everybody! I don't work here, I'm a new user that had a lot of problems and came to the boards freaking out because, like many of you, I do business through my website. But because I was freaking out all over the boards and searching for information, I thought I'd share what I found and maybe that might help y'all, too.

Apparently, due to the $1 promotion, there's been an influx of users, which is bad enough, but some are violating the TOS and just making a mess. Everyone seems to be scrambling to get things resolved, but apparently SH109-114 are being particularly hard hit.

Again, I don't work here, but knowing this information helped me quite a bit because I don't mind the downtime if I know they're on it and that it's an unusual situation. Hopefully that information will help! Usually I know people recommend putting in a ticket, but in this case, they seem to be on it, so if your problem is slow site/downed site and you're on one of those servers, maybe wait to see if it's better tomorrow? I don't know - is that bad advice, Surpass people? I just figure they're way overloaded with tickets at the moment, and since they're on it, it might distract them less to wait a bit.

The two servers that had issues so far were SH112 and SH113.

Both had to have named reinstalled (which is what makes sites load) so without that working properly... not a good thing.

21:56:01 up 10 days, 11:17, 8 users, load average: 1.49

Load is now normal.. earlier it was steadily around 10. A few sites were suspended as well.

SH112 has been good since last night,
21:56:56 up 12 days, 20:35, 5 users, load average: 2.94,

The load needs to be a little lower so we are working on that.
