no you will not lose that information because your are simply transferring the company that is representing your domain name.

However it sounds like he's changing the domain to go with his hosting

and so the answer would be yes/no, you wont lose it, but the data would need to be transfered.

And no offence to surpass, but their domain prices are quite high. I would personally stick with GoDaddy and only change the host to surpass, not domains.

What Geoff said is what I do. My registrar is GoDaddy but I do my Webhosting with Surpass. Has worked great for me.

Now I must hide from Kayla

A little bird told me.. that maybe we should start giving a domain name with yearly paid plans.

What are your thoughts on that?

That could get messy. What if the person cancels in the middle of the year.. what happens to do the domain for the remaining months.

I wish we could have extremely cheap domains, but companies like GoDaddy made it their main business and buy them for *really* cheap prices.

I have highlighted the reason I don't like it and have seen the reason stated on many boards also.

Hey Kayla,

Why don't you get a domains reseller account? Mostly they cost between 7 and 8dolars !
I would recommend Moniker. They are the best... Domainers love it.

About giving domain in yearly plans well, if the person buys one year of hosting, than cancels its them who lose not your company!
