SH128 server load

What would be the typical number that the server would experience slow down, a bit ago server load was as high as 12.

I haven't sent in a ticket, yet, as its gone down, this is mainly for information.

It genuinely varies by the service that's causing high load. MySQL abuse will bring the server to its knees near 20 or so, whereas a server that is sending massive amounts of email (usually spam) can spike the load average to 300+ and still have the server operating quickly.

In other words: there's no true way to tell based on just load average.
