I have found that using opendns.org as a dns service within firefox or explorer eliminates the need to wait hours for your domain to propagate. Simply go to opendns.org follow the installation instructions and most times your domain will show up on your computer within 60 minutes of changing nameservers. This however will not help those who don't use opendns on their computer.
Seriously I changed a domain name to different nameservers the other night and within 10 minutes my site was live for me. Try them out if you just can't wait for your site to propagate over the whole internet. |

No glue sometimes means that a nameserver change was just done. If your domain shows the Apache is working page then it is most likely a httpd misconfiguration. If Removed is fixing now, you are in good hands.

Just FYI, I tried to access my domain, it's still not working. Not sure if removed is working on this right now, but I'm hopeful!
Again, thanks!!! |

Ooh! I see "test page" when I access my domain now!!!
I see the words "test page" on an index.html.bak file. But the file I would like to use is "index.php" I've got itchy fingers, so let me know when it's OK to play. [edit] scratch that, I got redirected back to the IP again when I refreshed one of the tabs in Firefox. Last edited by daysies; December 18th, 2007 at 6:51 PM.. |

I don't know if this has anything to do with why my domain isn't working yet... but when I go to http://72.29.71.55/cpanel
I get the following message: 72.29.71.55 has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error code: -12263 I can only get to my cPanel using the bacon.surpasshosting.com URL. |
