tracert shows domain is now at Surpass, but i can't access it yet
I just did a tracert on my domain (I updated the nameservers myself) and I can see it end up at Surpass, but I can't access it yet. Looks like the DNS should be updated for me, but then again, I'm no expert at this sort of thing.

I totally recall someone having this issue like maybe a month ago. But so of course I can't find that thread.
I'm a world of help, no? PS: I rule, another Surpass converter a la me! |

I updated the name servers last night... about 10:00 pm CST.
I also tried flushing the dns, too: ipconfig /flushdns Nunames.nu shows the correct nameservers... I know it takes time... it's only been about 15 hours and I've been reading that it can take up to 3 days (yikes!) for the DNS to propagate... When the domain finally works, it'll just go straight to the IP address or is the IP address/~daysies ? |

nameserver changes take from 1 hour to 24hours+ to propagate normally
I would recommend checking from multiple locations, http://anonymouse.org/, http://www.dnsstuff.com/. See if you can get a response from your domain from those sites. Maybe its just your location. And once the dns change has been completed for your domain name and propagated it will direct to the same pages in the root of your serverip/~username

15+ hours is waaaaaay too long, not sure what is up with that, whenever I get sites up at most it takes one hour.
Plus I never ever seen a domain redirect to IP (www.daysies.nu => 72.29.71.55 Great Success ! Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server). |

It's not a DNS issue at all. I'm working on this now.

That just means that yes her domain is working and pointing to where it needs to be. My old domain did that after I changed my MAIN domain names and the old was still active. That Apache page would show up in its place although it was "turned off"
