is it true that surpass server is always down? i just heard that around

Surpass has hundreds of shared / reseller servers. Even more dedicated servers. There are bound to be some problems on some servers with that many, that's why you may see notices of problems on multiple servers. Usually it's caused by a client that is abusing the server.

Personally the only downtime I think I had was when there were the hurricanes a few years ago, and I think a generator was hooked up backwards or something and didn't kick on.

You may see some people that had their accounts suspended for abusing resources badmouthing surpass. That's because they didn't want to understand why their account was suspended and either fix the problem, or get an upgrade for their obviously popular website. Some people love to try and destroy reputations for some reason.

Uhmm.. No. My site has only been down 3 times in the last 6 months: http://www.siteuptime.com/statistics...&&UserId=70129 which equals a 99.964% uptime.

That's not to say that a specific server may be experiencing problems due to abusive accounts (the newest servers tend to suffer from abusive accounts in the beginning), hardware failure, etc.

lol. i am not trying to say anything bad about surpass because hey i know its popular and you know this is my first choice on hosting cause its been here a few years already. so its good. i just hate like people saying that surpass is sucks and everything bad. =]

i think surpass is good and trys there best to do everything they can. =] i would be so headache if i was in this kind of money maker. lol good job to surpass =]

Servers are like humans, going to be growing pains, so their bound to be some problems (hardware failure or abuse), can not predict that.
