SH132 Bacon - I'm getting a 500 internal server error

I don't know who else is hosted on Bacon (Kayla?) but I was installing and when I went to update its options, I got a 500 internal server error. I thought I botched something up, but when I restored the database and removed the plugin files, I am still getting the 500 error. I hope it wasn't something I did (because I reverted all my changes). Is anyone having this problem?

[edit] I also tried my other domain that is not tied to a database at all (I just added it as an add-on domain today) and I'm getting the same message.

i think this happened to me once, and it was all because of a .htaccess file or something in my public_html folder. *i think*. This was many years ago... so i may be completely wrong, lol.

I didn't touch that file at all. Since it is happening to my other domain (which was working before I started messing my database), I think it's something going on with the server. I don't know who else is hosted on Bacon, since it's new server, to check any of their sites.

well, other sites on that server are loading fine for me so it seems the server is working fine. But it was just a suggestion.

Thanks for checking... Were you checking the sites hosted on Bacon?

I opened up a help desk ticket anyway: NBB-499655

OT: i don't know where to report this, but when i submitted the ticket, i got one ticket reference number back... and when i went to refresh my tickets, i see 3 for the same thing. o.O

this happened yesterday, when i was having the domain issue, and i submitted one ticket, got a ticket reference back, but then i saw that there were 2 listed for same thing.

All fixed
.htaccess was corrupt. They may have happened when you installed wordpress.
