[Solved] cpanel and firefox giving trouble

hi all,

Since a while, I've been having problems with accessing cpanel through firefox. whenever I try to go to my cpanel, I get the following error:

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at cosmicchaos.net:2082.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

The problem only occurs with firefox, I can access cpanel through IE, so It's not a network thingy. I have tried clearing cache, cookies, history, whatever but nothing helps.

I could of course use IE, but I very much prefer firefox. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this. Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Peter

yah, tried it all. And it works on other computers. I'm now on a library computer using firefox, and I see the login box. So it's specific for my firefox I guess.

Weird thing is that I can access the main site. It's just cpanel and also webmail that doesn't work.

I disabled my firewall (comodo firewall pro) and it works indeed. Weird, why doesn't it block cpanel in IE then?

Gonna see what I can do about this now. Thanks for the tip .

yup, I checked it, and I made it so Comodo treats ff as a web browser. It seems like it didn't like me going to an url with a different port, so I allowed my servers ip + port 2082.
