I thought it was a fake email until I went to my site and bam, it was suspended. I have no idea what is going on. I don't know why my site would be suspended because I've done nothing wrong unless someone was trying to hack into my site. I've halfassed been online this week because where I work is moving into a new building and I wake up to check my email and I see this.

I would guess that whoever tried to hack into your site overloaded your mySQL with requests thus causing it to use to many server resources and leading to your account getting suspended.

Hostdime is a sister company of surpass so that's why you are confused about the hostdime.com thing.

Surpasshosting is actually located inside hostdime's datacenter.

I would recommend submitting a ticket to the surpass help desk and see what they can do to resolve this issue and maybe post the ticket ID here so staff that visits the forum can find your ticket quickly.

Not to be alarmed, our tech just used the wrong abuse mailer by accident. I have unsuspended your account and noted the ticket id to follow up with you.

Sorry for the confusion

Ahhhhh sorry, just got confused because I didn't know that!

I thought something else fishy was going on.

Is there a way for me to be more careful with hackers?

Yes, update all scripts to new versions when ever they come out...its always good to change important passwords every month, or at least make them really hard to figure out...using symbols, numbers, and letters help with this.

Be careful when downloading certain scripts from third party websites, sometime some people who are malicious can add coding that can be harmful to your site and also be able to hack through it easily without you ever noticing.

all servers show up as hostdime...do a whois.sc on your site and it will be registered as such. and any suspensions come up hostdime as well. i asked if this could be changed for a dedi some time ago but it was explained to me it was an expensive proposition. just dont tell any hostdime clients there are better deals here at surpass

Not quite. 99% of suspensions are done properly -- most situations where Surpass customers receive tickets in the HostDime desk are caused by human error.
