Username change

Hi folks,

When I signed up the automated system failed and I was hand entered into the system. The web site is for my school I work at.
doverbay.ca

however my username is

doverbay.ca/cpanel/

Username: czedqzbi
Home Directory/home/czedqzbi

I know I probably can change that ugly password that was given to me, but can I change this ugly username?

Yes if you contact the Sales Division in the helpdesk they can get that changed for you.

I was debating having my username changed after I bought a reseller package (uhyrmxhs) because it was pretty obscure, but after I thought about it, most cPanel account user names are generated by the first part of the domain, thus making a hacking attempt easier. So I just left it.

So didn't you make it easier again for a hack attempt, by giving us your user-name now? Just asking. =)

It could be viewed that way, but I was talking more like random brute force attacks. For example, if my domain was hostingbusiness.com, the default username would be "hostingb" so that would make it easier to hack into an account being that they already know the username of the account. By keeping it disconnected from the domain, it just abstracts it a little. I'm not terribly worried about it, but it was already set and I had it memorized after about a week..
