Add-On Domains!
Okay, so I read the tutorial on how to add a domain to your account. My question is that if I decided to host someone else's domain, will their FTP go right to the main folder?
Will they be able to access my stuff or just their own? Because I don't want anyone accessing my stuff. :p

No, you will just have to create an FTP account for them that points to that directory and they will only have access to that directory and nothing else.
They will only see that directory and not yours or other files/folders you have. =) |

Okay, so another question. If I host a friend's domain, can they host people on subdomains if I create the FTP and whatnot?
And if you visit their domain, will it show http://eatzombies.net/THEIRDOMAIN/index.html? Or will it be http://THEIRDOMAIN.com/index.html? I'm sorry for so many questions. I'm used to hosting people with a reseller. =/

Yes, you can create subdomains with the addon domain, but I don't think you can create FTP accounts with it. Going to my own cPanel, I can see that you can't, only through root. So the people they host would have their link be from that addon domain, but their FTP login would be with your main domain.
Well the domain should show up as just the addon domain. No worries about the questions, its what we are here for. =D |
