    Fantastico can't install anything & Coppermine not working -

    Trying to install Wordpress (or anything else) thru Fantastico I get this error after entering details;

    "Install WordPress (2/3)

    Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'dubster''localhost' (using password: YES) in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.1307866305.585Sl9kRsPGSA on line 1642
    Access denied for user 'dubster''localhost' (using password: YES)"

    Possibly related but also getting a very similar error when I try to view my (previously working) Coppermine image gallery;

    Coppermine critical error:
    Unable to connect to database !

    MySQL said: Access denied for user 'dubster''localhost' (using password: YES)

    Also how do I find out the server's name?

    Website is dubster.co.uk

    Oh btw, I am the main domain & admin for this server (shared), so am logged into cpanel with full admin rights.
    Fantastico always worked before, I just haven't installed anything for 3 or so months.

    Also getting AJAX errors, for example can't create a database & install wordpress manually, as the SQL bit can't check the password strength. Just get "AJAX ERROR - Please Retry" under the confirm password box, where Password Strength normally shows.

    Fantastico probably has an issue, support can fix this for you. Just submit a ticket at the help desk and they'll get you going: https://desk.surpasshosting.com

    It looks like you are on sh61

    Thanks for that DewKnight, very much appreciated.
    I'm glad to report a mild improvement, the ajax password bit is now working, so I've managed to setup an sql dB & manually install Wordpress, which works perfectly.
    Am submitting a ticket atm, so will hopefully get Fantastico working again soon.

    Cheers...
    Jay.

    If you are comfortable with it, you can also install the software packages manually. You will generally be able to keep more up to date with the releases, though you will need to know how to do installation (but it's not that hard).

    Thanks again Dewknight, I did manage to install WP manually, and have messed about in the past with good success.

    Thanks for the heads up & link to ticket submit, Surpass rebooted the SQL part & sorted it for me
