question about domain renewals

ok so my domain is going to expire in 29 days. i have decided that i don't want that particular domain anymore. so my question is do/can i purchase a new domain and let the old one expire and still have all of the same things on my account like i have with the current one? i hope this makes sense...i could sure use some advice on this subject

You can switch the domain on your account, keeping all of your current stuff. You'll need to register the new domain and submit a request for it. Depending on your account type, there may be a small charge for switching the domain.
