Exclamation What's a good FTP Client?

I'm looking for a new ftp client to replace my buggy WS_FTP that i've been using for years!

I'm wanting to replace WS_FTP because lately all it has been doing is freezing up, crashing, and transferring files really slow.

I know it is my paid version acting up because I have WS_FTPLE and it doesn't do any of the above but I'm still needing to get with the times.

I've tried the following and I hate them so don't even suggest them to me.

    Cuteftp
    smartftp
    fireftp
    filezilla

The ftp software MUST work with Windows 7 64 bit since that is what I run on my main desktop and my laptop.

    Thanks in advance.

WinSCP is an open source SFTP and FTP client for Windows. It works well and integrates with Putty which allows you to open an SSH Terminal from the current session with a click of a button. It's also a little more secure then most FTP programs since it can connect using SSH. I don't have Windows 7 so can't attest to it working but their web site claims it will.

Or you could just use Windows 7 FTP built into Windows Explorer.

what is it about them that you hate?

or conversely, what is it that you seek in an FTP client?

perhaps then better suggestions will come your way

I don't like the way they are laid out, I also hate that you they have the controls for switching between ASCII and binary hidden and not out in the open.

WS_FTPLE is my favorite ftp client but I hate the fact that if u leave the connection open for more than a few minus it becomes inactive and cancels out.

Filezilla really rocks, and I never have to switch between ASCII and/or binary.

Filezilla is awesome. And it is super easy to switch between ASCII and binary, there is a button at the top right of the screen. I have to use that feature every now and then.
