[Discuss] Surmunity Upgrade and New Look

It looks fine but one thing I used to love was being able to click a button and see all new posts from all forums since the last time I visited. Now it appears as though I have to go to each forum to see each new post post. That I don't like at all. Is there a way to see only the new posts since the last time I visited?

you could go to advanced search and under "Additional Options" select "Your Last Visit" & "and Newer"

It seems like vB4 rewrites "search engine friendly" URLs differently.
(or was this one of the plugins you had to disable during the upgrade?)

Example: in your announcement topic,

It was a plugin that was disabled may need to be updated.
- I know Vb4 Now has built in rewrites that can be explored may not need to update the plugin.

If you use the usual call for New posts it does not seem to not format correctly until the second or third refresh.

I think balck text as opposed to dark gray would be better and if you are expecting this forum to cover the EU as well as US then please check the scheme for compliance.

Can anyone confirm that the login is not held on reboot etc.

I seem to remember this happened after the last upgrade and so far 5 times out of 6 I have had to login when checking for updates/new posts, I have looked but there are no new cookies.

I really do not want to rain on any ones parade but this new design is just plain out there for the birds. I really don't get it as to why what we had really needed to be changed/updated but the dark design is just bad enough on my eyes that I'll in all probability not be visiting here very often anymore.

That is a shame because in my 4+ years here I've really enjoyed reading the threads as well as the learning experiences I've gained from being here. I guess I'll bide my time and hope that you all see the light and brighten up this forum software as soon as possible.
