Upcoming Surmunity Upgrade and New Look

We've always loved and nurtured the idea of a forum where everyone helps each other with just about anything, web hosting related plus more. So we've always let Surmunity stand out and be its own corner of the web, even though our service is behind it. We don't mind helping out anyone even if they only happen to be passing through.

We would like more of our customers to join and enjoy Surmunity, as activity is not what it was in the past. So this spring calls for a little cleaning. One place we're going to tidy up is Surmunity. We'll be upgrading to vBulletin 4.0 in the next week, plus there's one more surprise.

It is most definitely time to reward all of you with a more pleasing environment to use. We are eager to know what you think of this small preview. You could say we've "kicked it up a notch" and matched our website a little better. Think of it as moving the couch by the window for a change.

We know that every day you have a lot of choices when it comes to casually browsing/posting around the Internet, especially if you don't have any burning questions about your hosting account with us. If you choose to come here for help or just to chat, we truly appreciate it! We don't know what we would do without being able to talk to all of you here on a regular basis. Our jobs would not be as rewarding.

Update: We are likely doing the upgrade tonight. I'll keep you posted. If there are not any issues, it will only take about 30 minutes. Then you can let us know if there's anything you'd like changed. Thanks!

It looks like we will be upgrading tonight. Sending out an alert on Surpass Server Stats (Survers) on Twitter in just a moment.

I'm in the process of removing all of the plugins/products that will not work with vB4 and sorting out the ones that will.

There are over 25 plugins installed on Surmunity that you may not realize are there.

The upgrade itself is complete. Now narrowing down why the sidebar isn't showing for some reason.

There's also some tweaking needed to remove some of the gray backgrounds and replace them white, along with image sizing issues in some places.

I'll be sorting through this on Sunday, if you want to post any bugs you see it would be extremely helpful so they can all be narrowed down:
