I use IntegraMOD which is also a modified version of phpBB...they are just about to release version 1.3.3 and it is a nice piece of software...plus the support is great...
However thanks to sennsi for providing other options...I never heard of the one's you mentioned...its always good to have other options! |

PunBB 1.2.2
In another post (on their forum) someone had a similar problem and was told to set the chmods to 777 (or 0777, I have a dreamweaver plugin that does it for me) so everyone can access the forum. I did this for all the files after I couldn't get it to work the first time you'll have to excuse my complete newness to all this...... ![]() |

um...doing it to all the files is a bad idea, for any application. i believe the only thing that needs 777 is the cache file, and the config file should be 444
no problem though, being new just means you haven't made enough mistakes yet |

no problem. I'm not sure if that will be the solution though, but it's never a good idea to have files as 777 unless absolutely necessary.

i've changed that now but still nothing comes up...
I don't understand... it wouldn't anything to do with the database server hostname? I just left this as localhost? from the installation guidelines I would say this is the only thing I could have done wrong... |
