just ordered a plan

I just ordered a plan (I have to say I was waiting for some sort of even before purchasing but I'm glade of the wait). I ordered a Surpass Resellers plan which will be upgraded to a Bronze. I was wondering how i could get my Custom DNS? Thanks.

You have to set up your custom DNS at your domain registar. Surpass has (will have) already set it up on their end. If you need help setting it up at your registar, please let us know where you registered the domain and someone may be able to help you.

it depends on who your registrar is... who is your domain registered with?

I registered with enom through Netrillium webhosting services. just for the domain though.

so you'll need to do it there... it's a fairly simple process to do. you just have to look for a spot to register nameservers... when you get your welcome email, it'll tell you what to put in those spots.

I had my domain register set up the thing. Would it be okay if I set my DNS as my customed one now? There was nothing in addition then to make changes by my registrar right? I mean theres nothing in the WHM to configure or anywhere else is there?

you'd need the IP addresses to put in... you have to wait for the welcome email for that...

can't I just use my own ns1.mydomain.com?
which IPs do I inert into my name server? I already got the welcome e-mail. They gave me the surpass default address and two IP addresses. Could you fill in the blanks for me so I know what it looks like? Thanks!

at the registrar, you have to tell them that

ns1.mydomain.com is IP1
ns2.mydomain.com is IP2

if you've already done that, then yes, you can point your web site to your custom DNS.
