need to clean ftp up
hi all just a little ???? i need to clear a lot of rubbish up on my ftp i just need to know what folders are safe to delete like i know what ive added i just need to know what folders were there when i first had my account so i dont delete anything that might wreck the ftp a speedy response would be appreciated

under public_ftp there are no 'folders' that are 'required' except for the "incomming" folder.
You can delete things there either with a good FTP program like FILEZILLA, or through the filemanager in Cpanel.

Oooh.
That's different. Folders under there (and files) are usually part of your website. How is your site set up? did you use a CMS like PHPnuke/Mambo/Xoops?

ok i use php nuke i know the folder where its installed the root i just need what i can delete and what i cant from public html im not bothered about old sites and old html im also gonna reinstall nuke as there is aproblem with the updated version so basically there nothin in public i need at moment i wanna make sure there nothin in there that effects the main server if i delete the contents of public html i need the space regards rasin

Under public_html, it's simple. If you know what folders and files belong to your site, everything else can usually be trashed. Just be careful - ensure that you KNOW what folders and files are REQUIRED by your phpnuke installation...
Which plan are you on that you're already out of space??

im just curious how can about 100 mb of files be causin my disk space to be registering Disk usage 1492.22 Megabytes that is weird
