I've updated my DNS, checked my service status, and done everything I could think of, but I'm still encountering these issues...
Recently, I've been getting Internal Server Errors (500) for all my folders/pages with CGI...(i.e. I can't log into my blog or view my guestbook...) And...when I login to my CPanel...I noticed that my account summary states I have Unlimited Megabytes when I am actually on a Lite package...or did the hosting packages change? (This isn't a problem exactly...I wouldn't mind the extra space...but I am wondering... )Last edited by Waltz; March 27th, 2005 at 10:04 PM. |

What server are you on? If you don't know, please post your domain and we can tell you. Please update your signature to include your domain and server name.
Some of the servers had an issue where CGI files must be placed under the cgi-bin, whereas other servers you may have them any where. At least one server had something happened where that changed without notice. You can contact support to find out more concrete information, and see if it can be fixed. As well, with the unlimited space, Support probably needs to rerun quotas on that machine, so you will need to send them a ticket explaining that you're not seeing your real space limit. http://desk.surpasshosting.com

I make sure to put the scripts in the cgi-bin or subdomain cgi-bins...and it still doesn't work...
But, you're right, I'll send a ticket about it. Thank you! ![]() Last edited by Waltz; March 28th, 2005 at 1:54 AM. |

Waltz: are all of your CGI scripts chmodded to 0755? They need to be set to at least 0755 to excecute.
