I didn't think that the www was a subdomain but was part of the domain name?? If the www is a subdomain, where should we be uploading our filess to, public_html or www??

Not to sound stupid or anything, but when I upload to the public_html and access my site with either the www or without, I still get to it. Same thing when I upload to the www folder.

Is it where some people can see the www.domain.com and others can only see the domain.com?? I didn't think that there was a difference??

It's early in the day for me, so please be kind

Don't think it would make a difference for either folder, but I would keep uploading to public_html.

www.domain.ext and domain.ext are one in the same. This is also the case for public_html and www.

The folder www is a redirect and links to public_html.
