cancelling, renewing & billing - a somewhat general question

I purchased a reseller account exactly a year ago that I no longer want to keep (not because of the great hosting, by the way). So, yesterday, through the client account area, I sent in a cancel form. The cancel form went through, it said (and still does) "pending cancel". At the time I didn't realize it would take 72 hours, which was a problem because it was set to renew the next day.

So, this morning I found an email in my inbox that told me I had been billed already for the renewal.

My question is this: Once the cancellation form is "recognized", will the charge on my bill vanish from my account without me doing anything? Or will I have to contact billing to get things fixed up? Or, is there nothing I can do without a lot of hassle?

I do plan on purchasing another reseller account right away, but there are a few changes that need to be done with it. I suppose revoking the cancellation request would be the easy thing to do, but it would cost me a bit more money seen as how I need the main domain changed.

Thank you in advance.

You should receive a refund for the unsued time of the account that you were billed for once the cancel goes through.

Thank you for replying.

Does that mean that I would get my full $170 (I have the bronze reseller plan) refunded, or would it be a lesser amount? My account only renewed today.
