First off hello.
My apologies if this question has already been posted and answered....I'm not a newbie to domain management, just to Surpass. ( : Domain's in the past have resolved very quickly and I hope I've done everything right. I've never had to touch the DNS servers before. I logged into Surpass into the domain management, clicked on the Nameservers option, selected "Custom" from the drop down menu, and typed in the two I was sent in email into the two fields. Does that sound right? Fingers crossed I didn't mess up somewhere. lol Thanks for any help in advance. ( : http://impassive.org |

Welcome to Surmunity!
From what I can see, you did everything right. The nameservers are set to ns.895/896.dizinc.com. The site doesn't load for me either. Sometimes it does take a couple of days for DNS to propagate. You didn't say how long it has been since you changed your nameservers, but if it has been more than a day or 2, by all means drop support an email at support at surpasshosting dot com and have them take a look at it from their end. John

Hi thanks for the quick reply. ( :
It's been about a day and a half now...I think I'm just used to the quickness it took with past domains, that and I'm a very impatient person. ![]() |

I have read it can take up to 72 hours but thought that wouldn't apply to me, well I hoped it wouldn't. ( : If not by tomorrow then I will definitely take it further. It takes long enough to find a name that isn't already registered these days, the resolving time should be quick. lol

I registered mine on the Friday too and still can't view it...although I can ftp via the IP addy and have used cpanel so it's just the DNS waiting game...although I think my patience has finally run out.
