DNS Zone file

Is there a way for me to view my "A" and "MX" records. I am unable to receive any mail but I can send. I keep getting an "relaying not allowed error".

I am not on a reseller account.

Thanks

I don't think A records are accessible to resellers or shared accounts. However, you see and change your MX records in cPanel, in the Mail section.

The mx record points to the right spot "mail.cevans.us", but when I try to send an E-Mail to a valid account in the domain from an outside source, I get an error about relaying not allowed. I'm not doing any forwarding.

Hmm. Sounds like an issue with the server itself, though I would assume others would have noticed this. You might want to post your server's name (or add it to your signature as requested by the moderators here) and putting in a ticket with support is probably the best solution, if this is happening on mail from all outside sources.

Good luck.

I am on server sh85. I don't think it's a server issue because I can send E-Mail to my add on domain just fine. It's just the main one that seems to be trying to relay all mail to external accounts for some reason.

Then it's definitely not the server. I thought it was filtering mail from external accounts; it can't filter to external accounts without forwarders (individual or domain forwarding), which you say you don't have enabled. Have you contacted support?

Yes I have and I'm sure they're working hard on it. Just haven't figured it out yet. BTW: I did double check for any forwarders and there are none set.

Thanks for your help benjamin.

I still think your server is refusing email FROM outside addresses and is not trying to relay TO outside addresses. That would just be too bizare. One simple thing to try: delete the accounts in cPanel and then re-create them.
