Hello,
I already have a shared hosting plan that I've been happy with, so I decided to create a WHM account. Attached it to a domain that I have registered through Surpass, got the 'account activated' email within an hour of registering. Only problem is the access isn't working. Even 24 hours later, it is still not working. I'm just wondering if I'm being impatient and it takes longer than the shared hosting plan to activate, or if I need to pester support yet again. ![]() Thank you! Keri |

Is it actually saying the account has been activated or just the welcome letter? That's pretty fast these days for accounts to be activated. Anywho, are ou trying to access it via the domain name or the ip address? What's the url? It might not have propigated for you yet, but maybe for the rest of us.

I received an email saying my reseller account had been activated.
I tried accessing the WHM via the IP address. From what I understand in the email, I need to set up a few things before I can even get the URL activated. Really, I'm just wondering if I'm being too impatient. My access for my shared account was lightning quick... maybe I'm thinking it should always be that way. ![]() |

Your url won't point to whm. It will just point to a normal looking account. I say normal looking because that's just it: it appears like a standard cpanel hosted account. The difference is that it has a link in it to WHM. Does the IP have 2086 listed as the port? Like 23.43.4.5:2086 <-?
As long as the account has actually been created, you should be able to access it via the ip link. If it's not working, you should probably put in a ticket and make sure it's the right IP. |

I would :P If you're not getting the popup box asking for your login, than something might not be right. Atleast this way they can make sure the account is actually setup and the ip is right.

I'm getting the popup asking for the login and password. Then when I enter the username and password I was given, I get the error message saying one or the other is wrong.
I've got a trouble ticket started now. Thank you for your help!! ![]() |

Ah, maybe the information is wrong. They should be able to change it for you. Of course, if you get the login wrong 3 times, it should let you do it yourself.
No problem, happy to help. |
