Question Pushing & Claiming Domains

I registered a domain for my boyfriend yesterday. And now I am trying to push it to his own Surpass Domains account. I already "pushed" the domain to his acc. but we aren't sure how to claim it.

Any help on this would be great Thanks.

This must be something unique to surpass, because I haven't got a clue what Pushing and Claiming is. Someone, please enlighten me.

Well, pushing a domain into another account is fairly common (moves a domain from one user name to another) but once that is done I don't see why anyone would need to claim it... It should be in the other account automatically. As David said maybe this is is something unique to Surpass but it seems strange.

Well, when I fill out the info of the other account it asks me for a transaction password. It says I have to give this password to the other person so he can claim it.

Souds like you must do that. For security reason. E.G if someone got into your account they can't transfer your domain without you cooperation.

Well, if they got into your account they could choose any password they want for the domain transfer. However, clearly this prevents problems if you inadvertently transfer to the wrong account (since that user can't do anything without knowing the password you chose). Not a bad policy...

Depending on the way you tried to "push" the domain, there may be a verification that is required to "claim" the domain. Usually what happens is the administrative contact listed in your whois should have recieved an email stating that someone attempted to transfer (push) the domain to another account. If you didn't recieve it, then check your whois and ensure that the administrative contact has the correct email address. If so and you still did not recieve it, I would contact your registrar and attempt the push again. If you don't verify within a certain amount of time ( I think it's usually 72 hours or something ) the push will not go through and you can attempt it again.

What Jamie described definitely applies to domain transfers (from one party to another) but this is an internal "push" from one account to another within Surpass Domains. Perhaps this still applies; I don't know. At any rate, it sounds like the OP was asked to choose a password, which is unique to Surpass Domains AFAIK... Good luck and hopefully this is already resolved.
