Unhappy Beginner here, need help with many things > <

I got an email saying I need to update my domain name's DNS, where would I be able to do that if i got my domain name from surpass?

Is it under the option "change name server" ? or under the option "add name server" ? and finally how do I double check that the DNS corresponds with the DNS.

Thanks in advance.

Should be under Change Name Server. I don't use Surpassdomains, so I'm not sure what it looks like, but that should be it. You just have to put the name servers into there. You should have two consecutive ones, like 943.dizinc.com and 944.dizinc.com to put in. Something similar to that.

It takes up to 72 hours, but usually not much longer than 24.

What is your site address that you changed? This way we can let you know when we start seeing it on our own computers.

Well,

If you are gonna use these nameservers, just enter them. You don't need to enter the ip.
It only in few cases domains registrars need them. And when you have custom DNS.

http://www.momomoof.net/ is resolving for me. I see a directory structure with:

Test/ 14-Nov-2005 23:09 -
cgi-bin/ 14-Nov-2005 13:13 -
css/ 14-Nov-2005 23:09 -

Domain locking is keeping your domain from being moved from the registrar it is at. Lock your domain. This will prevent domain hijacking.
