Blog question

Hello--

I just recently moved my website to SurpassHosting. Currently, my site is essentially an online photo album of my family. I would like to add a blog or something like it and I am looking for advice.

My goal is to be able to write anecdotes from the life of my kids. I would also want others in my family--aunts, uncles, grandparents--to be able to add their stories. I considered having different pages for each kid, but I think that will be too complicated plus some stories will involve more than one kid.

So, does anyone have a recommendation for what to use for this and how to set it up?

Wordpress would work for this. You can assign categories to the stories based on which kid(s) its about, and you can put a story in an infinite number of categories. You also can have different users register to be able to post and comment. You can check out the website for more information: http://wordpress.org/.

To set it up, you can either install through Fantastico, or manually, but it's pretty easy to figure out by reading the instructions.

Yeah, I'd suggest Wordpress as well, and not just because Rai said that if I don't, she'll kill my kids I don't have.
