Raw log files

I have signed up for an account and have it activated about 2 or 3 days ago, and currently I am just in the process of mirroring all the files from my previous host to surpasshosting before I change the DNS of my domain name, so at the moment I am only using the ip address + username path.

I am running my own custom awstats where all the config seems to be correct (it can read the log files from "path here").

However, it appears to me that the log file is empty, and that there are no data for parsing (this is also true if I use the builtin awstats and webalizer).

If I download the Raw Access Logs, they are also empty as well. I can't get to the actual file since they are located under "/usr/local/apache/domlogs/"

Would I have to access my site via the same domain name that I am signed up with in order for the log entries to start rolling in?

Thanks!
