You could try flushing your dns...
Start > run > Cmd.exe Then do "ipconfig /flushdns" without the quotations.

Try clearing your DNS cache. If you are using Windows, you can do this by going to Start > Run >
Type in CMD and hit enter. Then type in "ipconfig /flushdns" (without the quotes) and see if that helps. edit: and yes, your site is coming up for me.

hmmm what are you seeing though. If it's some dodgy looking green thing with no imsges, i dunno what's going on.... If it's a white 1&1 page - which I guess is good and you're supposed to see? - it means i've gone wrong somewhere.
dns flushing successful, but made no difference....

HOWEVER, a minor breakthrough seems to be if i put in:
http://72.29.92.27/~twistsol/ it works fine for me... but main page still under 1&1 page. does this mean it' still propogating?

Being new to this kind of stuff is fun isn't it...or perhaps frustrating is the better word lol No worries, you will get the hang of it.
 I see the hello message for the "solutions" address on both the ip link and the link in your sig. As for the barfly one, I see the normal stuff you see when there is no site uploaded: Parent Directory 13-Jan-2006 16:52 - cgi-bin/ 13-Jan-2006 00:39 - suspended.page/ 13-Jan-2006 16:51 - Perhaps it's just taking longer for you due to your location. You haven't done anything wrong, it's just taking longer to propigate for you it seems.

hmmm.... other people in the uk can see it, (maybe that's not related to how it works)
I've tried flushing the thingy, clearing my coookies and cache and using a different brower. I'm so impatient, I'll have to wait it out!
