Exclamation GD Library doesn't appear to be installed?

Hi,

This maybe the wrong forum for this so feel free to move it. I've just setup a hosting account with yourselves first thing I did was create a php page to check what modules are loaded (phpinfo()). It said that GD Library was enabled but I get errors in my page when using functions from that library, it's moarning at me about the imagettftext() function saying it's undefined.

The GD library is available on the shared hosting package?

Yes it is available to you on shared plans. What are you trying to access it with? And have you contacted support about the problem? http://desk.surpasshosting.com

Well that's good news, I was worried for a second. I'm not sure what you mean, I have a php page called sig.php and this is the message I am getting...

Quote:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagettftext() in /home/lankyma/public_html/xfire/sig.php on line 53
I haven't contacted support yet thought it might be something really stupid I was doing. But I haven't changed this script and it worked on my old host.

Ah, I see. I would contact support about it since it's saying it's an undefined function, and that is a built in function.

“Those errors indicate that your PHP installation does not have True Type Font support compiled”.

That's from a site I found in google.

That isn't his fault - it's Surpass' PHP installation.

I didn't say it was his fault. Since you left out the rest of my quote...

Martin,

The gd library is installed. You can confirm its setup by going to the following url http://sh91.surpasshosting.com/phpinfo.php . Please notify us if you have any further questions.
Is this the level of support I can expect from SurpassHosting?

Edit: Well after replying a second time it is now being referred plus they apologised so it's not all bad.

Sounds more like they didn't quite understand exactly what the request was originally. GD was installed, but True Type support for it wasn't.
