I had added the user and put everything in the correct way I just hadn't given the user all privileges.....duh!

It should be noted that most scripts don't need all the privelages listed, and only certain ones, but I have it written that way because I have no clue what various scripts would need so I have it set to "ALL". You can always check out the phpbb board and they may have it written on there somewhere.

Well it didn't work until I did that so I don't know....lol, I just care that I finally got it installed, now I have to personlize it!

I'm sure I'll be back with more questions, I'm tryin to get the board up and running tonight while the kiddos are asleep!

I see: Please ensure both the install/ and contrib/ directories are deleted

Navigate with your FTP client to the forum directory, and delete the install and contrib directories

I don't get it, I already deleted those files, refreshed and everything, still getting the same message....grrrrrrr
