Apache Authentication

I'm trying to use a PHP app called PHP iCalendar to publish my calendars from Apple's iCal. In the directions for set up they say you are supposed to use apache to password protect the folder where the calendars are published. How does one do that? Thanks.

I think they mean just a regular password protect, which you can do in cPanel...

I think when they say "use apache" it throws us off a bit.

Right, I think that is what they meant. Too bad I still can't get it to work. If only we had webdav.

I figured out the password part I believe, it's just not being able to publish to the folder now.

I had gotten this to work and all of a sudden it stopped working. Anyone figure this out yet?

I've given up. It worked for me a few versions back of PHPiCalendar, but now it's just too much work, and I can't get it to sync directly from iCal. Best of luck
