Forums are like that. Plus, as I'm told, there is a world outside of the box. I don't believe it, but that's what they say and claim that's where everyone goes. I prefer the box.

Ok so you mean everyone goes on the computer, im thinling of closing the forum for the summer coming. I dont wanna spend all this time checking if people post etc... to much time, and headaches.. Im gonna be thinking about it.. Id close it for at least 2 months. What do you think?

It's best to just leave it open. The internet doesn't take breaks, just users. I'm known to go for days without even looking at my forum, and even longer on some of my sites.

So how should I do it..?? I mean can I make a nice friendly page saying that the forum has closed for the summer.. and, then just redirecting my forum link to that new one >> summer_vacation.htm

would that do it..??

this way I could password protect my forum folder for the time being aswell. What do you think..??

You'd be best to take down the whole forum though. Otherwise, you'll have to update it even though you won't be using it. It would be like improving on a car you don't drive.
