Is there any particular reason people should post there or is it just a forum that you're hoping people will post at?

heh, you think you have cheap members...I've been continuing to run a failure of a website for local music artists for the past 3 years. They post their shows once and never come back. Thank goodness they support the site. I'm still not sure why I bother with it.

A web site traffic expert I'm not...but speaking from my own personal experience in viewing websites, I would offer the following as just something you might consider. Your milage may vary

The first time I saw your page, it was interesting to learn about the subject - but because the front page is static, I would have to hunt around the site on return visits to see if there was anything new. If the front page contained a consistant stream of news and events, perhaps that would keep me coming back to see what is new. Fresh content is also a driver for discussion topics in the forum.

There are many sites and forums on the web that discuss site traffic and marketing. I would also suggest searching for and reading for topics such as traffic building and marketing.

I think you are off to a great start - but a successful site is more then the site building - the really hard part is in the content generation and marketing.

whole purpose was to make the site look old fashion, retro.. etc..
