yeah i guess you can change the permissions... or if you have whm you can suspend the account

nevermind, don't do that, i can already see the problems arising from that issue. why do you need it to go down for a couple of day?

I need to do this because my aunt is dieing from cancer and, my mom isnt doing to great..

^^ sorry to hear that, I would submit a ticket to http://desk.surpasshosting.com and let them know what you need to do, they can probably suspend the account for you through whm and then unsuspend it per your request.

Just upload a new index.htm file that says you've temporarily suspended the site. It's simple, you don't need to contact support, and you can take it down whenever you need to. Just make sure you backup the current index so you don't lose it. (I usually just rename it on the server, so I can change it back when I need to.)
