Yeah, I'm running it. No point in checking anything until they actually release it as a final version. Every public release they've done has had significant improvements to the CSS engine. It's very likely that it'll change again.

wildrice, instead of asking various members of this forum to constantly check out your site why not ask the members of your forum to help you out as well. You have 156 members on your forum and I'm sure they could offer you some insight as to how your forum looks to them. Since they are your regular users it only makes sense that they would notice things looking different or not showing up a lot better that the forum members here.
Thats not to say that the forum members here won't help you out since it is obvious that they offer you their insight and knowledge all the time. My .02 worth. |

My members dont have the beta version... thats why i asked here, since you guys are more advanced... you know?
Oh i do ask them alot of times, especially the ones I chat with somtimes but, about the beta, I know they dont have it as most of them are really computer iliterate. Last edited by wildrice; May 15th, 2006 at 3:50 AM.. |

wildrice, like snakeman recommended, I would ask your forum members for advice.... i.e. send a mailer out to your users that asks them basic questions like what browser do you use, what do you like most about the site, what don't you like about the site, what new features would you like to see on the site? Simple questions like that. Your direct audience is going to give you more valuable/usefull information regarding how the site works and looks because they are the ones 'actually' using the site.
Like also mentioned above, you are talking about issues with a "beta" browser. Wait till the official release of the browser before you start making adaptations, because the "beta" version is constantly changing. Furthermore, you mentioned that your users aren't very computer savy, that's fine, they can still give you valuable input because they actually frequent and use your website. And given their lack of computer literacy, they probably don't keep up to date with the latest browsers, not to mention the option to 'test' a "beta" browser. |
