CHMOD question?
I was under the impression the chmod was a unix/linux shell comand...
How are people able to run that command without shell access. I only ask because I've seen chmod mentioned several times in various threads! Thanks for any help offered! ![]()

I figured you'd be able to answer that. My brain is jello at the moment and couldn't make any sense of a reason for it enough to actually post.

Just so I understand
Quote:
The way it appears in some of the threads, people are actually running the chmod command and I was just curious how this is possible, I believe you can purchase shell access to the server for a 1 time fee, but I do not believe that is what they were referring to, so I wondered what I was missing! Thanks again!

I think I get it
Therefore,
there is no method in place to run the CHMOD command, unless it is run from code/script. Again, I appoligize for my bone headedness on this, it just appeared otherwise in other threads. Thanks again, I'll consider this question answered!! ![]()
