How do I set up multiple websites?

I have just transferred my sisters web hosting to Surpass and would like to know how to setup the following:

My sisters main site is activated through her domain name, however she has a completely seperate site which she has set up for children, there is no domain name for this. I would like her to be able to access this site by uing the following www.janetemarshall.co.nz/kids. As you can see it is merely a website which does not need to be incorporated into her main site and we need to keep seperated from her main site for ease of maintenance.

Any way I can do this???

On your sister's site, in the public_html folder create a sub-directory called kids. Then put the files for the kids site in this folder. I think this is what you're asking for.

An alternative is to log into your sister's Control Panel, select Sub Domains and create a sub-domain called kids. This will create the sub-directory mentioned above where you can place the kids files. Then you can access the kids site via either of the following:

http://www.janetemarshall.co.nz/kids
http://kids.janetemarshall.co.nz

The advantage of using a Sub Domain is that your sister can then create e-mail account such as:

FirstChildsNamejanetemarshall.co.nz
SecondChildsnamejanetemarsha.co.nz
...

Uhmm.. just make a folder (directory) called "kids" in the /public_html/ folder where her current website files are and place the files for the kids inside that folder. Then the link you give above will open the index.html (or .shtml or .php) inside the kids folder.

Make any sense?

Edit: see above LaughLaughLaugh (there needs to be a delete post option for us slow typers)

If you preview post, instead of just submitting it, you can see the activity that has taken place while you were typing.

Many thanks to all for the answer to my question. I have now satisfactorily got the sites up and running. Now for the cleanup.
