I realize this could very well be a vbulletin issue, however since last night we have seen some strange occurances within our forum.
The time seemed to have gone ahead by 12 hours, all clocks were off, yet each user had the appropriate setting. Were we correct to assume it was a server issue? It has corrected itself at this time. As of about 30 minutes ago, no new posts are moving up at all. Before I head over to the wolves at vbull, I was wondering if this could possibly be server related as well? Please go easy on a newbie Thank you! Stefanie www.mywomen2women.com/forums |

have you logged into your cpanel to check the status of the server?
You'll certainly want to also make sure you have all VB patches installed...

On my server, I noticed the time was wrong. It thought it was Friday, the 3rd at 11:00 PM eastern, not AM. Right after I sent a ticket in, the time started reporting back correctly. Looks like last night around 11:00pm sometime, the time changed 12 hours ahead.
So... it's gonna be a messed up day as far as web stats and anything else dealing with the time is concerned. Must not have been an isolated thing since it appears to have occured on more than one server.

The time stamps on my forum posts are messed up too. One of my moderators alerted me regarding this issue.
I firmly believe that it's a Surpass Hosting problem (which is the reason why I came here to see whether anyone else is having the same issue). Apparently, I am not the only one.

It seems like the problem has been resolved now.
. . . at least for my site.

Mine are SMF forums and running 18 minutes fast. SMF gets it's forum time from Host server so yea it is something with the Surpass servers I'd say.

This is a Cpanel issue that now should be solved by Cpanel.
(during night when upcp runs at servers with cpanel installed, time&date is synced, and below is explanation why time became ahead 12 hours whan a such sync was done) The administrator at Cpanel "cpanelnick" says: Quote:

Thank you for this post, I was still trying to find out why this was happening. I didn't think to check the cPanel forum for some reason, normally I go over there first.
