Can my databases be as large as I want up to the amount of diskspace that comes with my account or are databases counted under something different?

I believe they can be as large as you want, they are counted as part or your disk space

Yes, any databases are part of the space you use.

well that's a secret MySQL code from the codebook...it masks the value that the database actually takes up so you can have unlimited... it's like invincibility, but combined with unlocking all weapons and getting unlimited ammo.
