Uhmm..ftp - Page 2

If your using your cpanel login you can drop the

toxic-kitty.net. If you've added another ftp user through your cpanel, above and beyond your cpanel login then it needs the

toxic-kitty.net. In other words it should work with or without the

toxic-kitty.net if your using your cpanel login, but you can remove at least one variable.

Also check your bypass proxy/firewall settings or passive ftp setting. Try using unchecked (not selected first) and then select it.

Make sure that it's using port 21.

Make sure that there is not an anonymous setting selected.

Is there a router connected to your computer.

You can also try using Internet Explorer by entering:
ftp://username:password

ftp.toxic-kitty.net
just for grins and see if that works. Try it with and without passive ftp [tool, advanced, passive ftp]

Thank you!! I've done all you said to do but it still gives me this error " ! Connection failed toxic-kitty.net - connection refused
! Connection failed toxic-kitty.net"

Is there a router connected to your computer.
No I dont have a router? or...I dont think I do o_o; lol I slow..

I'd turn in a trouble ticket. I tried it and it times out.

Yes yes, I submitted a support ticket and everything and changed a few more things but it still doesnt connect and it gives me the same error message. grr..I bet its gonna be something so little that is making it not work. lol Anyone else have any ideas of what I should do next?

Download another FTP program from download.com and see if it is WS_FTP causing the whole problem. Maybe it needs to be reinstalled.

I tried to connect and have the same problem. It doesn't ask for a password, just times out. Have you changed the DNS entries for the domain recently?

Alright I will download some other ones, it wont hurt to try. and I did change my DNS, well I think I did..

How long ago did you change them? It can take up to 3 days to resolve.

For the hostname address put

66.193.231.224
