Argga, Okay I'm using WS_FTP I've used it before when I had a subdomain, and I never setup the Profile name and User ID stuff ect.. By myself I have NO idea what to put down, and it isnt for a subdomain its for the main index page. :bawling: I have no idea what to do!!!!

How to create a profile in WS_FTP
Profile name: anything you want to call it Hostname/address: ftp.yoursite.com Host type: auto detect User ID: username Password: password

Yes, you should be using your username and password. If you still can't connect, report back with the errors you are getting from your FTP Client...

it still doesnt work. This is what I have typed In:
Profile Name: 66.151.151.171 Host name/Address: ftp.toxic-kitty.net Host type: Automatic detect User ID: toxicki  toxic-kitty.netPassword: -password- Account: Blank (nothing needs to be here) Comment: Blank (nothing needs to be here) What am I doing wrong? I have used it before and I just followed my old one...but it doesnt work, maybe its the user ID because I want it to show up as the index page of my site..and toxicki is just username for Cpanel..anyways can someone please help? |

You should not be using toxicki
toxic-kitty.net to login to FTP for your main account. It should just be toxicki. You only use the userdomain.com format for usernames on FTP accounts that you create.
