File Manager

In my file manager I have several folders. 2 That puzzle me are

www & puclic_html

They both contain the same data.. my question is.. why?

One is mirroring the other I believe. Use public_html.... however... don't delete either of them

Yes WWW mirrors puclic_html and as Brandon stated don't try deleting them.

Technically it's not a mirror, it's a 'symbolic link'. A symbolic link is a way to give one folder (or file) two names, however they're both referring to the same folder (or file). Another way to think of this is as an alias, another name for the same thing.

Well what ever wording you want to use it is a duplicate in the cPanel setting.

Some of us now days don't even use the www anymore. Wasted space to me. lol
