Accessing Site Before Domain Is Ready

Is it possible to get at your website without the domain being propagated

this would allow me to setup the site, then when the domain is ready other users can just use it, otherwise i have to wait 24-72 hours before i can even start any work

You sure can. In your welcome email you will get the IP address to the server you are on.

You can access the site via ipaddress/~userid

You can also upload files via the IP address in your favorite ftp tool

i did try ip/userid - missed the ~

(p.s. might be an idea to include that titbit in the email aswell

Make sure you do http://ip_address/~username/ with the trailing "/" because some browsers will not process this correctly if you just do http://ip_address/~username
